I don't see Barron's as so monolithically bearish. While Alan Abelson, and Jim Grant before him, are permabears to the point of being idiotic, the interviews in Barron's present a fairly wide range of views (this in contrast to their round table of certified old fuddy-duds). Just last week they had a bullish interview with another strategist. They have also had a number of interviews with fund managers giving plugs to the Q. This is just one guy's (Dennis Gartman's) story. I am interested in a discussion of the specific issues he brings up, as opposed to a metadiscussion focused on the fact that they are being brought up in Barron's.

How long has Barron's been Bearish? It certainly feels like they've been down on stocks since exposing the original Ponzi scheme. But that might just be because we are all on Internet time now.
