michael, one of my buddies points out stocks with opposing business models both go up in this mania...

for example, even if we assume gtw's deal with aol would bring spectacular increases in gtw's sales, don't the other pc co's take a corresponding hit ?

for example : wmt and sears mkt cap have gone in opposite directions, which i think is appropriate, this doesn't seem to happen with the pc market ...

"Logically, it doesn't make sense that this firm is doing well making crappy boxes while every other firm in the biz is having problems."

Michael, with apologies to Tina Turner, what's logic got to do with it? -g-

More seriously, how long do you envision it will take before Gateway blows up, given the new era of see-no-evil, speak-no-evil on Wall Street? This questionable accounting has been going on for quite some time ... how do you predict when the music will stop for any given company?

Regards,
Terry
