CGarcia, what you say is also possible my friend. I heard Rupert Murdoch mention in one of his TV interviews 2 weeks ago that he "missed out on the opportunity to buy out AOL about 2 years ago when they were still very cheap."

So anything is possible. Maybe Murdoch is floating the rumor, maybe MSFT is and even better ATT themselves in order to knock down AOL share price to leverage a better bargaining position. I am tempted to classify these as rumors since AOL keeps announcing blowout earnings quarter after quarter.
