EL-- those in the industry are aware Y2K has done all the hurt it ever will already, except in software upgrades and component upgrades. Replacements and additions are not effected. The only effect on those companys should be in Q4 with a little in Q3. The best thing is most large and mid size companies over budgeted for Y2K. Lots of IS/IT sales will be made the last few days of the year to clear that cash from the bottom line and to be ready for upgrades and replacements/additions right after 1/1/00. Much of that money will go back into the bottom line and some surprises should be popping up. The only difficulty is in accounting practices and most of those can be workrd with eso in a Y2K which can be labeled 'unusual' or 'emergency' situation.

I still believe if they do not make earnings they sink to the lowest of lows but doubt that will happen. Any earnings no matter if on target or a 5000% surprise will only constitute a small pop that will be unsustainable. The only thing to salvage 25 this year is the CC and being open afterward. Otherwise next qtr will see newer lows...
