StockHawk,

<< STOCK MARKET'S GREATEST HITS >>

Related stuff!

As of 9/1/99:

"The top stocks of the current decade are Dell Computer (DELL) (+83,500% from Jan. 1, 1990 through Aug. 27), America Online (AOL) (+44,400%), EMC Corp. (EMC) (+41,528%) and Cisco Systems (CSCO) (+40,651%)."

According to:

moneycentral.msn.com

If I remember correctly as of the end of 1999 the top 5 stocks of the current decade were (in this order):

1. Dell
2. EMC
3. CSCO
4. MSFT
5. AOL

I might have AOL & MSFT reversed here ... and INTC was in the top 10 if rememberance serves me correctly..

The article referenced above also mentions one of our favorite young gorillas and sounds this cautionary note:

"Finally I should note I'm wary of Qualcomm's parabolic advance in the past six months. The stock still looks terrific, but so did America Online on April 6, when it jumped $24 intraday to an all-time high of $175 and then commenced a sickening slide to $89. One interesting parallel between the two run-ups: Both were punctuated with their addition to the S&P 500. Any hint of bad news (earnings slowdown, international trouble or general market malaise) could send Qualcomm -- up an astounding 800% in the past year -- tumbling toward first support around $140, and then $100."

I've been unable to post much recently, but I must say that I appreciate the posts on WIND which is on my personal "close watch" list.
