But I have a problem here ,this is where I think TA can mislead at times.The broker surge was wholely the result of the congress---that was huge news,and not a mirror of an improving market I believe--heck the financials and brokers may just go ballistic because of that news--but it is just a very,very special case I believe.Max

The financials have rallied on the law reform deal reached. It should cause much merger activity. Are mergers going to be happening in a falling stock market though? Why pay $10 for something you can get for $7 later? Just speculating, but so are the buyers of those financial stocks.
