What is wrong with this thinking:

Ebay had a bad last quarter because they had all the downtime, lost some customers and credibility. Then thye lost a bunch of revenues from the free listing day. So they will have a disappointing earnings report. But because the number of auctions has persisted at elevated levels and higher listing fees are the norm, along with more sales completed due to fewer reserve auctions, the company is able to make very favorable projections in the conference call. Thus, I see a negative ernings report with associated fall inshare price, followed by a very upbet conference call and reinflation of stock price. Any takers?
