Kevin, the question you are asking is this. . . on an IPO, which is more important? Substance or hype???

I wish I could say it was substance. . .if so, I believe Plug Power would be a big IPO. . . for I believe them to have a lock on fuel cell manufacturing in America. But the IPO game [which should be hosted by Pat Sajak or Bob Barker] is often nothing BUT hype.

The reason I stay away so often is because of this. . .

You cannot win another man's game

These IPOs are totally stacked in favor of the underwriting brokerage house and the corporation. . .once the stock has been "driven" up to astronomical heights. . . enormous money is made. . . but all too often we have seen such companies have $90 opening days. . .only to be selling at $9 bucks within a few months. This is not a friendly environment for individual investors. . . who consider themselves LUCKY to get a lousy 100 shares at the IPO prices.

I didn't read the spin Red Herring is giving Plug Power. . .but this is not the sort of technology that those in Silicon Valley even understand. . .so it doesn't surprise me that it is given as you say a, "lukewarm reception."

I will be trying to get some at the IPO price. . . .and if it drops below that price [for whatever reasons], I will add for a long term position.

I have my doubts that we will see the Red Hat explosion. . .due to the lack of awareness. Now if CNBC jumps on the bandwagon and hypes the opening prior to market. . . then perhaps. . .but so far, I see little discussion of the pros and cons of fuel cells. . . .so maybe I like it so much because I would like my house to be powered by them. . . a subjective perspective. . .as opposed to staying as an objective trader. That is possible.

It is certainly not the type of stock to do a Sycamore. Frankly, I don't know what type of stock is. . .

So I guess I have danced completely around your question. . .and back again and still not answered it. . . which tells me that I just don't have a clear picture of what will happen yet. But perhaps those views may help define what the questions are.

Thanks for your support,
