hi Terry or anyone ?

i scanned in a couple of photos using a canon scanner , and tried to email the files (saved as jpeg) to myself to test it out...when i opened the emailed files, i found the picture way too large for the screen...if the pic scanned in was , say 5 x 7, why wouldn't it come out that way on the other end ?
