Swiftrade happens to be quite competitive now.

Huh? Price competitive, no way. What they offer? No way. Reputation for reliability in a crunch? Who knows, they haven't been around for a crunch. Hell you liked them when they were using Amber. Practically every other brokerage has cheaper rates, better research available on site, and many now offer extended hour trading through ECN's, and some are even going to ECN's during the day, instead of clearing through Larkin, and they have been around and even more importantly will be around. The big brokers will spend more on advertising in a month than ZSUN will GROSS all year. No one knows ZSUN's West America people so no one will go with them.
As for Hong Kong, I don't see how they can be price competitive when they get 40% of the trade cost, no way, no how. London, maybe, it's only like 15% or so isn't it?(you did read the 10SB right?)
Bottom line, this idea that the average online trader clamors to be able to trade around the world is flawed. Most are scared to death of foreign stocks because of the lax accounting that goes on in most places. For the most part someone that is looking to trade overseas is a player and knows who to deal with, and it's not Swiftrade.
Swiftrade will only get used by the clients of the brokers that it has deals with, it will not attract this mythical small time investor that wants to trade on exchanges all over the world. Foreigners will not use it to trade in the USA because they are an expensive no-name.
Dream time is over, time to deal with reality.
