DOH!

Thanks. Here's another one: How do you search for text within a particular subject? I start by opening a post within the subject I want to search. Then in the bottom left corner I choose "This Subject Only" (radio button), "Stock Talk" from the drop-down menu, type in the text I'm searching for, and hit Enter. It returns a few results but they're not in the right subject.

And yet another one:

In the old si I could view all messages to me by clicking on Folders/To Me. This would give me a mix of PM's and public messages whether I had responded to the PM's or not (or deleted them from the Inbox).

In new SI (it seems):

1) I can't view a list of public messages to me unless I deliberately save them in a folder

2) Ditto for PM's

It's more work, but in the long run you get used to it and you are able to save what you (think you) want and it's permanent rather than falling off the edge after a while.

That's the thing about computers: new software takes a lot of getting used to and it is sometimes hard to tell how you will like it beforehand because a lot of thought probably went into it. Later on the reasoning (if there was any) becomes apparent.
