You are correct, sir!

My IBM price data didn't go back that far.

But do you remember how great it felt to finally get to the point where you purchased a single share... and folks have to remember that gasoline was running about 19.9 cents a gallon then also, so $400 to $600 a share was big bucks....

You really didn't have to chase the price as you got the average price for the last trading day of June or the first trading day in July ( I forgot, some such arrangement) minus 15%...You could buy it for a year at this price even if it went up or if it went down you paid 85% of the current, lower price..
