JBB -- I would think cpq feels they have enough law suits at this time. If there was going to be a miss they would have pre-warned. They really are good at pre-warning late in the game and are good at missing too. They have the experience. There are many reasons to believe they COULD make it this qtr. Also, they are different than DELL & INTC,, IBM too but a little closer. It seems a non-event to me. If they miss they sink to 10 - 12,, not a huge deal when you look where they came from a few months ago. If they do well we shall see a pop that will not be sustained unless they begin to give WS some guidence throughout the coming qtrs. The CC will do the exact same thing,, negativity = a drop and a positive outlook will produce an unsustainable pop. Put your money down for a little sense of adventure....

cpq revenues. msft says pc sales are swell. dell says
component costs are high. gateway doing well. ibm says
high end is slow. expectaions for cpq are beaten down. i say cpq meets or beats narrowly--stock goes up 2 (20%).
worth a gamble.
