Unfortunately, I have found that it takes too long to filter out the crap. I am on vacation now and have time to be on SI. Once I go back to work, SI gets a back seat again.

By the way, I never tried any of the other threads like Yahoo. SI kept me busy enough.

RE: "The people who post their war stories, i.e. I bought at the bottom and sold at the top, are really wasting the board's time and probably have resulted in people going elsewhere for their info which is unfortunate. "

Hi John,

I agree with you, it doesn't help to hear when someone bought/sold a stock when the news is old.

However, if the news is current, it helps. I find these posts quite useful.

It is very useful to hear about transactions as they occur, for reasons that it is both confirming and/or helpful to finalize a decision. However, it would not be useful to hear about a transaction which is well after the fact, since this doesn't help in making an investment decision.

So, I find these posts useful and hope to see them continue.

Amy J
