Could He ???

Can God make a promise and then not keep it ???

Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

When did God promise to send His son to die - Before he created Adam to fall !

Could Jesus decide NOT TO GO TO THE CROSS ??

Could Judas have not betrayed Christ and the Scriptures be Broken ???

===God Promised Adam that he would send His Son===

When Peter suggested they change the plan Jesus Called him Satan !

If Jesus "REALLY called Angels" who then would he have been ?

Satan would have won which is not possible !

When Jesus said "I could" it must be understood the it was "IF"

If it were the Fathers will for the cup to pass from Him He could call a million angels.. but it wasn't therefore Jesus told them to put away their swords...

To think that God can do whatever He wants is WRONG ( I know you hate that word but tough :-}

God can not be untrue to Himself
God can not break his promises
God cannot be unrighteous

God can't do a lot of things...

Your argument is === God can do what ever He wants ===

My argument is === God cannot want all things ===

Here's the funniest part of this whole discussion....

Even IF you guys could prove that God has a Total FREE WILL.. It has nothing to do with Mankind and the "Doctrine of Freewill" that we were talking about in the first place !

I do believe that GOD has a FREE WILL until He Binds Himself

A man is "free" in one sense before he is married but after he is married he is no longer "free" in that same sense. Jesus is engaged to HIS BRIDE the Church ( all those who are truly saved ) and will never be FREE in the same sense again.

He will wear the battle scars throughout eternity
....for the blood he shed for his bride to be !

Oh what unspeakable love is this !
