JimL, Shoot the Messenger? Moi? Au Contraire, mon amie! Just offering a different opinion. <g>

The reason I am calling attention to "big oil", is that OS stocks will go nowhere without them. If we are beginning to see the infamous "change in perception" in the stocks, that SEEMS to be reflected in the rising stock prices then OS will follow like night to day. Wrt XOI pulling back: I will agree if we see price reversals in the next few days. If not, then 535 looks like a done deal.

The indications from the E&P earnings so far are all pointing to the fact that the balance sheets of oil company's are healing rapidly if not already healed. This bodes extremely well for OS stocks going forward. The fourth quarter is is one that is biased to higher capex spending. The new big oil budgets are just around the corner. My bet is that OS stocks start to see both positive year over year and sequential earnings comparisons. Yeah, you might get another sell off, but then again you might not. Also, we are moving out of a period seasonal weakness into one of seasonal strength for the over all market.
