It's big because it would mean (if it's true):

1) That the 3-RIMM solution is fine and you can manufacture 820 boards cheaply.

2) That the RDRAM's are fine except for Samsung's.

3) That everything is fine in Rambus-land (except for the price of RDRAMs) except that Intel just screwed half the world over.

Of course it could just be manipulators trying to get the price up to stick the knife in it again.
