Well I'm sure that CTXS isn't in the tornado(yet.) I'm partial to the idea that it has crossed the chasm, but admit to not being 100% positive at this stage. Give me another quarter or two to be sure.
I have read all of Mr. Moore's books, but didn't read the others as carefully as Gorilla Game. Books written with an eye toward management as opposed to investors carry with them the problem that it is very difficult for outsiders to understand the processes inside a company. It's especially hard for self employed types that have never worked inside a big company. OTOH, it's likely that management in quality tech companies reads these books too. Occasionally I read public announcements by tech executives using terminology that could only come from Mr. Moore's books. I will go back for a second take on both Crossing the Chasm and Inside the Tornado, since it's clear that I have forgotten some of the content. I'm still reading the second version of Gorilla Game - better than the first. Going slowly and thinking about it as I go. This is not a book to speed read <gg>>
Vertical marketing would seem best for CTXS , especially making the not unreasonable assumption that the fat client problems are more severe in some markets.
OT OT ... What's your opinion on Gemstar? I must admit that I don't share the general enthusiasm for this stock at the current price.
