Interesting that this thread is observing an unusual divergence of opinion regarding near term market trends:

Favors: bullish
sew: very nt bearish, then bullish
oj: bullish
SO: bearish
heinz: bearrrrrrrrrrishhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Apologies to anyone I left off. Feel free to add your vote to the list. Or correct my characterization if you like. Just an observation I thought I'd point out.

Dennis, thanks for the J.F. update...as i said before, he has been pretty accurate for most of this year, so it can't hurt to know what he thinks. re: Gann quarterly chart: note that the periods discussed by Favors where a downturn in the Gann Q chart preceded important bottoms most of the time were all in the context of the current bull market. it remains to be seen whether these interpretations work in a bear market as well.
