First of all, NetZero does not have an infrastructure. It sells other organizations services, and so it is under the mercy of whatever service is provided to them. This also creates certain complexities, and expenses that other ISPs do not have. Also, what do you expect for zero dollars. High Quality service? No. Of course they are going to have busy signals. The idea for them is to simply get numbers. Out of the more than 1 Million customers, it is unknown how many customers really access the Internet through Netzero. Being "active" simply could mean setting your email application to automatically access the Internet, and get your email every 10 minutes. The customer is NOT even at the PC when it accesses the Internet. So much for seeing the ads. Get the message advertisers! I guess NetZero is going to have to resort to providing FREE ADVERTISEMENT time. So much, for ad profits. Oh don't forget about the hacked programs out there to allow usage of NetZero without seeing the ads.
