Thank you for your comments! I think we must distinguish between at what level AOL announce its splits and at what price the actual split took place. By that I mean, before the splits occurred at 130, 150, 170, weren't the splits announcements substantially bellow the aforementioned prices? Here is a table of AOL splits from IR that I believe will backup my argument:
