I think that is true of SOME women. Just like SOME men have told their wives about a divorce when the wife was in the hospital with some serious disease- or gotten divorced when the wife is middle aged. But lots of people ARE tested and remain together and faithful. I like that. My parents were friends with a couple that were in a similar situation to the one you mention. The man was injured in a car accident when his wife was pregnant with their second child. He had only the use of his arms. They stayed married and raised their children- he died recently and she is now a widow. I was the same age as their daughter and I remember going there to visit. They were very nice people.
