The Bills came out flat and were punished. The Seahawks front 4 established themselves as elite. It's certainly the best front the team has had in a long time, if not the best ever.

Hey, don't look now but Watters got 3.5 a carry, and Green had something like 3 for 27... his first two carries on the season right up the middle for over 10 apiece. Green also dropped a sure touchdown on a "fade" at the goaline. Green also returned the opening kickoff to the 38 of Buffalo.

Dawkins had 4 catches for 91 yards, and Mayes something like 6 for 105 and 2 TDs.

The defense harassed Flutie all day and picked up 4 sacks, a fumble and 2 interceptions.

Holmgren was pensive aftewards, probably because he knew he'd be studying Green Bay's film tonight.

This upcoming game, though outside the conference is the biggest since the AFC divisional playoffs the Seahawks lost in Cincinatti over a decade ago, when Blades was the go-to wideout and Krieg was still QB. It gives Seattle the chance to establish themselves nationally. It may be their biggest test yet this year.

Next week 3 wideouts and 2 safeties come back off of injuries. Hopefully it will be a great game and cleanly called.

It's almost too much to take - a string of important games starting with the exposure of pittsburgh as a farce rather than force; then the nail-biter over Oakland at home; then the heartbreaker at San Diego; then the handling of the Bills; and now a trip to Lambeau to test the Packers. These are all like playoff games. The fans are going crazy around here!
