Hi David,

Here is another good post that I pulled from the Stockhouse discussion forum.

KS For MicroSoft & Plans For Solaris

For now, KnowledgeStudio is clearly ANC's flagship project/product. While it's not clear regarding the $$$ value for the Microsoft deal, the most positive aspect to this is that the product's SDK will be used by Microsoft to develop their own applications making heavy use of ANC's API's. Perhaps Microsoft's plan is to bring DataMining to the mainstream platform (i.e. PC's, NT Servers, etc). I recall about 20 years ago they started a similar endeavour with PC's. At the time all systems and data resided on Mainframe computers. Data mining then was stricly vis a vis products such as SAS running on 3070 based systems. Well this is changing thanks to PC's and smaller based servers. Data is distributed across a multitude of platforms and NT and UNIX are leading the charge! Angoss has aligned themselves strategically for this. KnowledgeStudio is currently NT compliant and their standing plans to develop a KS interface for Solaris will round out the offering quite nicely!
