re: From the article, ``As we get into the fourth quarter, it will be more difficult for Dell because Compaq has more consumer sales,' said Charles Smulders, a PC analyst at Dataquest. ``That works in Compaq's favor in the fourth quarter.' The fourth quarter is typically the biggest consumer-buying quarter.<<<

If CPQ doesn't stuff like it always does, this might not be true, also Dell is rolling out a consumer push. (just some other contrary factors).
Cheers

Dell jumps to No. 1 in U.S. in Q3 as PC sales soar<<

At least Dell does get some good press lately. Maybe this good news will cheer investors and rally the stock up by a sixteenth or an eight of a point. When will this stock get its butt off the curb as it has been a pancake for over eight months??

Best Wishes
Frank
