><>...Good evening Chris...><> Cahoots? Chris lighten up. I was just being light-hearted.! I have never heard so many different spins on so many well known and understood scriptures, as I have since Brian has been posting here. I have been around, literally thousands of well studied and loving servants of God. I am also very familiar with other religions and all denominations of Christianity, including pseudo Christianity, and have not heard such interpretations put on simple to understand scriptures, as I have heard here. Childish? Chris please give me a break....or how about at least the benefit of the doubt. I had no idea wht you were talking about when you said "you know full well that his handle is Brian and not "Brain". Until I went back and checked my posts and saw that I had spelled it Brain, but I can assure you that was an honest slip of the fingers. Brian has made some valid points in some posts, but most of us here are fully aware of the facts of the Bible and those facts are nothing new to learned Christians, and anyone who is a Christian and studies the word of God knows for himself the most pertinent facts. Brian has got no special insight to God's word, and I don't know if he has said that he did either, but the people here don't need to be told at every step that they know nothing, and for anybody who does know something... according to Brian...what they know is wrong. Chris, you have read the posts on this thread, and you know very well that I have not knit picked with Him on any issue. It is he that finds pleasure in knit-picking at every post from every person. It is not I nor anyone else here who is doing the belittling of Brian. It is Briain doing the belittling. And I am only taking the time to tell you this Chris to set the record straight. Read it for yourself. And in the case I did sound as though I was belittling him or any else I sincerely apologize to whom it may concern. As to your suggestion about challenging him that is just a pure waste of my time which is too precious. And as I think about it this post to you is also a waste of time, there is so much work to be done for the Kingdom, this is pure foolishness. Anyway Like I said in the beginning, some of his points in some of his posts are valid. It is clear form his posts that he did not come here to learn anything new,and he certainly did not come here to be challenged .... I believe he said he came here to teach. Well thank you Chris, and Braian, but I already have a Teacher! Now if he expressed that he wanted to share some ideas and or fellowship with others, I believe many here would be more than happy to engage him in an open and loving Christian conversation. In any case Chris I am sure you needn't be concerned about Brian, somehow I think he is quite capable of speaking for himself, and somehow I think you know it too....But it sure was neighborly of you to speak in his defense...even if you didn't approach it in a very neighborly fashion. Have a good evening Shalom...><> BTW If you see an opportunity to challenge him, then so be it... You challenge him.....unless of course you and he attend the same school of theology, AGU. A little something for us all to absorb! SHUN the gossip of men as much as possible, for discussion of worldly affairs, even though sincere, is a great distraction inasmuch as we are quickly ensnared and captivated by vanity. Many a time I wish that I had held my peace and had not associated with men. Why, indeed, do we converse and gossip among ourselves when we so seldom part without a troubled conscience? We do so because we seek comfort from one another's conversation and wish to ease the mind wearied by diverse thoughts. Hence, we talk and think quite fondly of things we like very much or of things we dislike intensely. But, sad to say, we often talk vainly and to no purpose; for this external pleasure effectively bars inward and divine consolation. Therefore we must watch and pray lest time pass idly . When the right and opportune moment comes for speaking, say something that will edify. Bad habits and indifference to spiritual progress do much to remove the guard from the tongue. Devout conversation on spiritual matters, on the contrary, is a great aid to spiritual progress, especially when persons of the same mind and spirit associate together in God. Thomas A Kempis,
