There are still some interesting comparisons between the
original Ford Co.and Dell.
1. Starting in building the Model T in 1908, by about 1913 Ford
had 51% of the US market. Eventually producing one car every ten seconds.
(This can make for interesting computations - if Dell
continues gaining market share and the market grows at 25% a year then in X years then ............)
2. The basic Model T price was as low as $325 BUT even then with
very little money to spare, the average price was over $500
because people preferred the add-ons or extras.
