650, 700MHz Pentium III Processors Now Available From U.S. NT Workstation Market Leader
ROUND ROCK, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 25, 1999--Dell Computer Corporation (Nasdaq: DELL), the world's leading direct computer systems company, today announced availability of Dell Precision(tm) WorkStations with Intel(R) Pentium(R) III processors at either 650MHz or 700MHz.

Both the mid-range Dell Precision WorkStation 410 and entry-level Dell Precision WorkStation 210 are available with 650MHz and 700MHz Pentium III processors in single- and dual-processor configurations. Prices for a Dell Precision WorkStation with the new 650MHz Pentium III processor start at $2,100(1).

Dell also announced plans to offer Dell Precision WorkStations in the future based on the Intel 840 chipset. The 840 is a workstation-specific chipset that will offer features such as support for Rambus(R) (Nasdaq: RMBS) memory and AGP 4X graphics technology. Products from Dell based on the 840 chipset will complement and enhance Dell's family of workstations.
