Update On Activities In The San Joaquin Basin CALGARY, ALBERTA--Berkley Petroleum is pleased to update activities in the San Joaquin basin of southern California. EAST LOST HILLS The Bellevue #1R replacement well at East Lost Hills, operated by Berkley Petroleum, was perforated on Saturday October 23. Initial results are positive and the well is flowing gas at restricted rates on initial clean-up. The main flow test will be conducted this week, followed by a two-week pressure build-up. Further data on rates, pressures and reservoir performance will be reported at that time. The Berkley East Lost Hills #1 step-out well, located 2.2 miles north of the Bellevue #1R well is drilling at a depth of 14,461 feet, approximately 3000 feet above the Temblor formation. Public Company partners with Berkley Petroleum in the East Lost Hills development are Elk Point Resources Inc. (TSE:ELK), Hilton Petroleum Ltd. (VSE:HTP), Kookaburra Resources Ltd.
