Jill,

Are we sure that another gorilla (MST) is being born, so soon after Q?

I'm not sure what you're asking. If you're asking if we're sure that Q is already a gorilla, the answer is that I'm very confident it is based on my understanding of the criteria.

You commented in a previous post that even if on the downside Q was a chimp in a niche market that still creates tremendous profits.

Understand that I was referring to Jean's charcterization of Q as being dominant of a niche market at best. While I mentioned that I don't know if Q will dominate the total wireless market, that comment also left room for the possibility that it might. That's where Jean and I apparently disagree. She apparently feels it'll never happen.

An additional thought I have is how we define a niche market. Right now CDMA is clearly a niche market. But how large does it get before we stop calling it that? I dunno.

Thanks for sharing your personal story. You'll never find me trying to convince you there's a better country to live in. :)
