Vulcan Ventures has invested in Egreetings, so we are covered.

There are a couple of other up-and-coming greeting card services which might be a nice fit for Go2Net. It certainly seems to pay to get in on the hot 'viral' plays early. Just look at Hotmail. $300 mil was a bargain for MSFT???

Blue Mountain was probably too big for GNET, but maybe a similar service with a bit of flair might fit the bill. Not the standard ones like e-greetings, though.

I thought the same thing when I saw the Excite CEO on CNBC this morning. "Wish we'd bought a greeting card site instead of THEM" There are others which are pretty good, though. Internet cards are really popular - get and send 'em all the time. The idea that every time someone sends a card, you get the recipient's eyeballs too - and subsequently all their friends - boggles the mind. AND they ALL have a lot of ads on every card sent. Think about it, Russ!
