Re: The DDR bus Athlon uses...

Paul,

The reason I used the term DDR bus, is that I meant DDR bus. When referrring (damn, am I typing with a scottish accent tonight?) to DDR memory, I call it DDR memory or DDR SDRAM. That's why I said they'd been using a DDR bus for years - and didn't say DDR memory.

But the important thing here is, 64 bit DDR buses are proven technology, unlike 16 bit DRDRAM buses. Thank goodness, bringing in copper is enough to keep AMD busy without having to worry about trying to bring a brand new, unproven, expensive memory bus technology on line.

Regards,

Dan
