Good News re: Portland Even though the ninth circuit is the most liberal federal circuit court in the country, the Portland appeal will apparently be heard November 1st before a three judge panel consisting of one Reagan appointee (Judge Edward Leavy), one Bush appointee (Judge Ferdinand Fernandez) and one Clinton appointee (Judge Sidney Thomas). I'm not sure about the valuation, but Blue Mtn. gives T access to lots of eyeballs that can be monetized with a readymade e-commerce holiday gift platform that can be extended to their customers' networks of friends and family. T knows alot about how its customers react to holidays, especially Mother's day, because that is when T's network traffic has always peaked. Now it is developing e-commerce platform to cash in. Today's funky animated greeting cards can easily evolve into quite tasty streaming videograms thanks to fast fat pipe downloads. I think it's a saavy move.
