Greg,

Spend some time over at the Gorilla and Kings thread. It may give you an idea about just what is meant by a gorilla, as well as some very informative posts as to what JDSU does and how it is positioned in the market.

Negative posts like yours, when not backed up with facts, are a waste of time, IMO.

A Gorilla? how so, if it doesn't operate in the black.

It's clear that you've done ZERO to investigate this stock.

More like HLIT following JDSU. JDSU is the largest player by far in their field and they are in a market that's at the core of the internet's/telecom's growth. Via their stock price, they have the financial power to take out any competitor that starts to threaten their position. Add in the fact that have yet to do anything to disappoint the street in any way and you have a one powerhouse stock. Few companies are compared to CSCO as often as JDSU and that says something about how the market thinks this company will grow. Remember, companies are not valued on today's earnings, but what earnings are expected to be in the future.

"..it doesn't operate in the black"

Wrong. If one intends to argue about the price of this stock, one should know some of the facts.

Ciao,

Go ahead and get it over with short it. Put you money where your mouth is. Do some DD, before you do. Why should you expect the longs to give you all the information that you need to make your decision? You sound lazy.

Greg

t2 knows better than to call JDSU a Gorilla, I am almost positive. JDSU is, perhaps, a King, or has entered a Tornado and may emerge as a Gorilla.

I just read your next few responses and suggest you get a good broker who can help you with DD.

Check the financials. The company is making money hand over fist! A ton of cash and no debt complete the picture. I have
owned this stock since $25 Canadian and they have been very profitable every quarter. That's why the huge appreciation.
The growth has been astounding. The last quarter was due to the merger and the "goodwill" charges incurred.
