Paul,

<It was repeatedly claimed by Charles sources, that Intel had no response to the Athlon until Willamette, and Coppermine was nothing but a higher speed Katmai. >

I have not bothered to respond to Saturn but I challenge anyone on this thread to find where I said "Coppemine was nothing but a higher speed Katmai". As far as my comments that Intel had no repsonse to Athlon until Wilamette, that realization should be clear to everyone with any knowledge of CPUs at this point.

<You forgot one of Charles' BEST F*CKED UP prediction - that Gateway would have Athlon PCs ready for sale by this Christmas>

There are a lot of people on this thread who could knock me on this but, you picking on my rumor is a total joke. Have you forgotten your IBM/AMD rumor, Athlon power rumors, Athlon manufacturability rumors, Athlon bin split rumors, Athlon 750 launch on Oct 4th rumor - just to name a few?

And you had the nerve to call someone else on this thread a hypocrite the other day. Looked at yourself in the mirror lately?

Chuck
