Dan, I think we all empathize with you. Many of us have researched this in our own for years now (4 at least) and are kinda blury eyed. I can remember a time when we were complaining that nobody seemed to even be talking about MSS or Globalstar. Well, they are now. If you have been looking at this as hard as I have over the last few years, now is the time to factor all those hours into your current thinking not be too easily persuaded by those who are just now coming on board. I am not saying in anyway to ignore them because there are some bright folks who have valid arguments. But I think Lor/G and the strong group of sp's/partners have some bright folks amongst them too. Re-read post # 4941. I do that from time to time. Re-read George Gilder's article and re-read Unterberg Harris' original report dated Jan 1995. I am doing that now. Ask yourself how many fundamental changes have really ocurred between then and now. I haven't seen any in the first two references. I will let you know if what I find after digesting Unterberg again.

Re: Targoff, I don't believe he has been active in G* for quite some time. He has been selling all along. I am not concerned about him.

One of my feet got cold about a month ago so I unloaded 1/2 my position. I expect to pick back up below 20, but will wait till subscriber #s prove positive before re-establishing position. So far, I'm not impressed with the rollout. I'm confident the system is reliable, almost land-line quality and easy to use. Pricing and stealth marketing is the concern. I think Bernies subscriber projections are going to continue to move to the right, like all the other G* time targets. Stock still has plenty of potential, its just going to be dead money for majority of '00. I like Echostar (DISH) for the near term. Bernie talks, Charlie Ergen delivers. GO DISH!!!

Mr Leniczek: I am not a seasoned veteran. I have not been in G* for 5 years. Only 1. Been around Q for about 5. Just a few thoughts to share.

Yes, I too am growing weary and beginning to wonder about the same concerns as everyone else, mainly, "What is taking so long?". No word, no hint, no whispers. After 'carrying' the big heavy ball so long, why drop the load now when one is so close to the finish line? That is it in a nutshell.

Then I ask myself, "Why did I buy G* in the first place? For a quick buck?" I knew going in it was long term, although one year is not, but there are many more to come. If it tanks, another lesson learned, but the risk is well worth the potential reward. That is just me.

I myself have been considering adding a rather large portion (large to me) of G* as long as it is hovering, prior to it taking off (and not leaving me grounded), as I'm assuming it will someday.

I would never tell someone what to do. But, making decisions in a state of frustration, impatience, and confusion, is never wise. (I'm not saying that these thoughts aren't justified) Go back to square one and keep it simple, don't outsmart yourself. I have, and own the regret to go with it.

Brief? Concise? Not me. Sorry, but I hope it helps.

G* rocks, it is just a matter of time...

as i understand it, targoff and schwartz met privately in the small conference room, and schwartz bought all the shares targoff was willing to sell. then schwartz called his broker and bought the rest on the open market.
i'm not concerned about all this baloney. gstrf will be the most efficient and largest satellite provider, and that technology is an unduplicable communications niche.
