GR,

61.6% of the shares of NTAP are institutionally held. I seriously doubt if any of these shares were sold because some no-name company issued an initial sell--especially one without any meat to back-up this recommendation. Considering we are nearing the end of the year, if any of the institutionally held shares were sold today I should think year end portfolio management rather than anything inherent to NTAP was at work.

For individuals, people like you and me, I do not think that sell initiation made one bit of difference in swaying people who sold today to sell. In the first place, the average investor does not watch the market with an eagle eye--he/she works! For the few people who saw it, to have sold on that blip would be insane, like telling someone to jump off a bridge without giving him/her a reason [i.e. "jump" vs. "jump--a swarm of bees in racing towards your back (and I know you are deathly alergic to bees)"]. Newbie investors who deal with penny stocks might naively listen to ever word they see or hear, but that's not the kind of investor who gets into NTAP.

For the record, the first call for NTAP improved this week to 1.45 from 1.50 the week before. 7 of the 12 brokerages covering NTAP rate it a 'strong buy.' There are zero moderate or strong sells and only 1 hold [same for the past 3 months].
