Distracted would be one word for it.

Ever tried to talk to someone live (an actual human being) at Network Solutions?

Don't bother, it's impossible.

They have a nifty little recording that says "Your approximate waiting time is one minute. You are important to us, please hang on" and then they put you on hold for a very long time.

I think they are going on a clock in an alternate universe.

They should change the name to Network Problems That You Can't Even Call Us About Because Nobody Will Answer The Damn Phone Have a Nice Day Goodbye.

I'm telling my cOUSIN. He will call the CEO directly and ax what's the deal.

However, I am not too upset. I had a great day, I played ISLD like a fiddle and took someone's money away. Now I have it. I like that.

On a related note, I have ordered stuff from Amazon.com and it always comes fast and it is always packed well.

On Saturday, I ordered a copy of Sun Tzu's The Art of War for a friend of mine. I ordered it at about 1:00 p.m.

At 4:00, three hours after I ordered, I got an e-mail that said my order had been shipped and thanks for shopping at Amazon.com.

Now, that is some service.

And he just got the book! And I didn't specify overnight or priority delivery, I just had it sent in the regular way.

People can say whatever they want about Amazon.com but I tell you that they have the best service of any business I have ever done business with in my life, including regular stores.
