>>Finally, I sincerely doubt a search of the US telephone directories for telephone
numbers under the listing "bp" would be particularly rewarding. <<

I used to post under my real name and I'm quite sure there are plenty of people posting on SI who remember it.

What possible motivation would one have for posting personal information other than to open the door for possible mischief?

I never provided any of that information in my own postings. She violated the TOU in a technical sense but I don't think she should be terminated anymore than I think whiners like LT should be able to get anyone terminated for disagreeing with them. JLA

I'm a little confused about this situation with Cobalt Blue, however for example I have a web page as a part of my personal profile that can only be viewed by paying SI members. I asked Jill when I put it there and she assured me it was not available to the public. These guys have posted it publicly, a few times, on a post... I then sent a msg to SI and they removed it... no one was suspended, but it never should have happened. Additionally, one guy insists on using my actual first name in posts that I never use and I don't appreciate that either. So if this kind of thing is allowed then its an easy leap to assume posting someone's info in public database is ok too. Hmmm, I'd like some clarification on this actually.
