Look at the volume of AOL. Trades are so backed up that trades spill over 4:00 with AOL. This is why they trade differently from the 4:00 pricing.

Lots of companies seem to get things wrapped up in ten or 15 minutes in spite of high volumes. IBM had higher volume than AOL today and they didn't have any problem clearing out trades within a few minutes of 4PM--although I don't know how many orders came in a few minutes before 4pm. Is the NYSE incapable of promptly handling more than 12M a day on one single stock? I've traded AOL many times and it never took more than a minute for the order to execute.
