JLA -- No slam taken. As just noted to Edwarda, I would not stand in the way of CB's return but I am unsure if it's in her best interest right now. That's not for me to decide, of course, but, I'm not going to be a hypocrite and say I miss her. Perhaps we differ in our "tolerance" of remarks we don't care for. I am 100 percent FOR the right of people to express themselves -- I am also 100 percent in favor of the speaker being subject to whatever reasonable consequences follow their comments. Mike

JLA, were the tables turned, these people would be the vanguard of the attempt to reinstate you or Mike. This is why I value them; I have gotten to know them and I know this about them. I have known them longer than you and have watched them in action. We may nuke one another, but we also protect and take care of one another. Example: If you posted a family crisis, I am willing to bet my net worth that the very people with whom you have quarrelled would be there with sympathy and offers of help. I've seen it happen so often on this thread--in fact, I was was a lurker and resisting the temptation until Steven and his family were in a car accident and his daughter was injured. People who had been in the midst of a pitched battle stopped to offer support; he is an atheist, but the prayers of people of faith went out to him at once and he appreciated our caring. I, myself, couldn't resist offering him my support and my prayers for his daughter. Despite all of our differences, we have grown to be close friends (blush!) and it is a friendship I treasure. Never underestimate this thread!
