whether money went to Rajiv-Sonia account held somewhere

I agree with you. I hope the CBI will take this investigation, no matter where it goes without regard to any politics. If there is proof of hoarding, not only the Govt wants the money back, but Sonia will be disgraced and might have to resign. It will hurt not only her family but the Congress party also. Hopefully that will be the end of the dynastic claim to political power and the office of prime Minister. What bothered me about Sonia is that she was so quickly and unthinkingly claimed a congress majority to form a Govt without needed numbers, when Vajpayee was toppled. She is not even ashamed to admit that she does not have any experience. I was given to understand that Rajiv made a fool of himself during his tenure in office for utter lack of knowledge in the workings of Govt. The congress used Priyanka's nubility and "nobility" to draw votes to no avail, according to press reports.

I suspect Sonia is misleading her party-folks that Rajiv (and by implication herself) was innocent.

I am sure every congresswallah knows fully well that Rajiv pocketed the money. They are just going along with the fiction because they want to "serve the nation" by licking Sonia's feet.
