You missed the point, as always. No offense intended. The point is -- do the Indian bureaucrats who are supposedly "fighting for their country's interests" know enough about what they are fighting for? Or, more to the point, do they even care?

In any case, most of the so-called Indian "basmati" rice is fake (long grain rice that is sold under the claim that it is "basmati"), so it probably doesn't make a difference.
