Hmmm.

Your contention that Q's behavior is actually well thought out efforts on their part to keep the momentum crowd from distorting the valuation of qcom challenges my credulity. Go back and review the actual sequence of events that occurred at the time of the secondary.

I certainly would not argue with a steep but orderly rise in price would work best for recruiting and retention purposes , but the best way to achieve this is not ineptitude.

As for Dr. J's management team is brilliant , it was not their brilliance but their eventual focus I was questioning. The key word here is eventual. Currently, they are (IMHO) focused exactly where they should be - the supremacy of CDMA. But a couple of years from now, no WS smarts may mean the difference of 25 to 35 in PE #s.

In response to it would be a mistake to underestimate the Q , I can only say there is a reason why Q is my largest holding.

Prosperous investing.

TA on the Mighty Q

previous resistance from little Cup&Handle was 205... then we vaulted toward an unsuccessful retest of 225 top... no problem, we failed but now stare at a Nov2nd announcmt date and an opportunity for a new but brief run

from 223 intraday hourly top, we retraced almost exactly 5/8 from 205... now sitting at 211... cannot stress the prominence of 3/8 and 5/8 from Fibonacci accumulations

we may not have time to form a new Cup&Handle... but the likelihood of a swing momentum drive upward seems strong... the length of the swing is 223-211 = 12 pts

TA target: 223+12 = 235
intraday target only
catch it while you can on option exits
I will try myself

the general market is sickly, ready to roll over

QCOM reports out of synch with other techs
therefore, I expect we will fall somewhat short of this target
like 231-233

good to be back from NahthEast Kingdom in Vermont
still willing to cuss out ignorant morons though
/ Jim

<< Dr. J's management team is brilliant, and no one has ever accused the heavy handed WS manipulators of having an
abundance of grey matter. >>

Jill has. She said she thought MSFT was the best managed company. I presume that implies managers with an abundance of grey matter.
