Jill,

Mike, can't believe I'm up posting so late.

I'll allow that to pass as your excuse for posting about the Yankees. :)

Anwyay, the question was, you crowned GMST, do you really see it already as a gorilla? Are gorillas born so often?

The metaphor doesn't apply when referring to how they're born. In the jungle, gorillas are born. But in the markets they are spun from tornados much as babies are delivered by the stork. :)

Seriously, as new technology markets are created faster and faster in Internet time, I think there is a possibility that the number of gorillas will also increase at faster and faster rates.

Also, don't forget the recent thread discussing that there are a lot of gorilla markets out there other than the ones prevalently discussed here. It has always been my inclination that there are many, many gorillas. Even the authors suggest that many of the gorilla markets exist but require an insider's understanding of them. All of that tells me that we shouldn't be surprised to discover this stuff about companies on a fairly frequent basis.

Did you see the post about CISCO & their new wireless venture, which will supposdly leapfrog everybody else?

Yep.

Watcha think?

I don't remember the essence of it, thanks to the effects of jet lag. Can you point me to it?
