"New" Information in this CC.

<<But beyond the fancy phrases there was nothing positive revealed (as far as I noticed) that we on this thread didn't already know.>>

Actually there were a few new things. Here they are.

The biggest, IMO was their mention that NAC is:

"developing a new category of intelligent solutions for carriers and service providers. We believe the optical networking capabilities of NAC will exceed those of Sycamore networks. It's carrying capacity is expected to be like Sycamore and cerent combined."

This is NOT MetroFusion (which will be big in it's own right). This is a wavelength switch router similar to (and exceeding in their words) Sycamore and Monterrey networks. This will be BIG - VERY BIG.

Other new pieces of information are that CW is integration testing in the lab "WITH ALL SILICON WORKING". Those 7 chips are apparently just fine. That is big news too, as that is the biggest area of concern in a high end router.

Also, they are "close to announcing SONET OC-48 (2.5 Gbps) transievers and "very soon" OC-192 (10 Gbps) capability as well. Those are new products that should sell very well.

Zuma was definitely mentioned as "spinoff potential", as was HC 'in the near future with "good execution on their business model".

Zuma is definitely "hot, HOT, HOT" - but it isn't here yet.

Fiber Driver is doing "extremely well" with 25% qtr-qtr growth. They now have over 100 modules "in production" for it too, so they can basically convert "anything" to "anything". The way this was worded however probably left some analysts thinking they had sold over 100 boxes. Those 100 MODULES, guys, they insert into the slots of the Fiber Driver.

OA growth continues strong - 48% year over year and still accelerating, with a "5X" growth opportunity over the next 4 years, and they are "dead serious" about going for it.
