In that case I would have no choice but to follow through and sue LT. Point being this, one says things when angry that one thinks better of later. JLA

Why not just an outright ban on threatening lawsuits?

If someone wants to sue, just do it. (sounds like the makings of a good commercial <g>) If they want to give someone notice that they are going to do so or are thinking about it, PM's are available. If they want to post that they have filed a lawsuit, post away: that is newsworthy.

In my view, the "threat" of any lawsuit is just that: a threat. 999 times out of a 1000, there is no real intent to sue. Rather, it is just a sloppy way of expressing the degree of PO'dness of the writer.

Troy

PS - the spell checker did not think that "PO'dness" was misspelled....amazing....now if it would just do that with e-mail, email, gigabyte, etc. Maybe I need to threaten an email spell checker lawsuit. <gg>

Cheeky, I don't know if SI can (legally) state that threatening with lawsuits is a violation of the TOU. It sure would be nice if they could. Really only a few people do it, though. I understand Anthony does it as a part of his charter... ok... I must admit I don't like it, but I have not been involved with any true fraud in my investments either. (I do know it exists)

I put in my motion to include lawsuit threats as a tou violation - see how far that goes!
