Cisco Systems, Inc. was a Pick in the 11/01/1999 issue of Smart Money, Page 125 in the article "THE STOCK MARKET'S
greatest hits" written by Ken Brown. The article is 9 pages long.

Bullish Reasons Cited: The networking juggernaut, which boasts the #1 or ! #2 position in every market it has gone into, has
witnessed astonishing growth and now flaunts the 5th largest market cap. With over 40 acquisitions in the last 6 years, the
concern has been able to stay ahead of competitors, fuel growth, and enter into new markets. Its recent purchase of Cerent for
$6.9 billion, although criticized by some, gives it a strong foothold in the relatively untapped optical transport market.
Moreover, with a 30% projected growth rate and a 28% profit margin, the stock remains one of the top plays in the
networking sector.

Rumors: Get over them.

Rumors have circulated on Wall Street dating back to the days when all the business was conducted in the open air. CNBC was one of several news services that reported that rumors regarding Cisco were circulating on the floor. They had a duty to state what they knew might be contributing to the rapid decline in the price of Cisco in the final minutes of Friday's trading. If it hadn't been Maria commenting on the news, it would've been somebody else. Since the rumors have been denied by Cisco, take advantage of the volatility and move on.

Good day, Glen
