Market for rest of year. As we enter the tax loss selling period of the year, I thought it would be worth looking at the broad market performance. Running a screen for stocks that are trading below their 200dma, and having been there so long that the 50dma is also below the 200dma, I got a shocking 4012 hits, of the 7796 tracked by this system. Even if only stocks trading at $10 or higher are looked at the numbers are still 1963 of 4334.Can we say Bear market? As tax selling increases from now until mid Dec. the overall downward trend should continue until then. Come mid Dec. we should have some great candidates for Jan bounces.
