Sean visit the Chicken Page were I address the Y2K purchasing issue. Computers are more and more like other household appliances such as TV, Stereo Set, Dishwasher or your car.

The point I am trying to make is that all companies involved in this industry will trade at multiples similar to those of appliances and automobiles.

There is no justification for the present high P/E multiple.

As to your comments regarding new computers the PC has a long way to go to achieve the reliance of an appliance or a car. On that basis today computers are more like 1930 cars or TV - so would you like to own a 1930 TV or drive a 1930 car??

P.S. As a computer hobbiest I am also very pleased from my new Iron <GG> but still can not economicly justify the money spend, except for hobby purposes.
